Who I’m a Good Fit For (and Who I’m Probably Not)
I work with founder-led dev / technical / custom software agencies who are tired of surviving on referrals and last-minute “hey can you guys jump on this?” work. Most of my clients are in that $2M–$8M+ range, have a solid team, and are stuck at the same point: they do great work, but they can’t clearly explain in 20 seconds why they’re the obvious choice. That’s the choke point I fix.
You’re a strong fit if:
You sell complex, high-value work (custom builds, systems integration, modernization, implementation, migration, etc.) — not $2K templates
You’re mostly getting work from referrals and past clients, and it’s starting to slow or feel random
You (the founder) are still doing most of the selling, and it’s burning you out or blocking growth
You keep getting compared to cheaper “full service” competitors and you’re sick of justifying your price
You’re at the point where you can’t just “hustle harder” to fill the next quarter’s pipeline
You’re probably NOT a fit if:
You’re pre-revenue or just freelancing and want “leads”
You refuse to narrow (“we’ll build anything for anyone, we don’t want to specialize”)
You’re hoping someone will “just run ads / do lead gen” while you stay generic
You want volume yesterday but you aren’t willing to clean up positioning, offer, or who you’re targeting
Why that filter exists:
I’m not a volume hack. I’m not a cold email vendor. I’m not here to drown your team in “marketing activity.”
What I do is help you define:
who you’re built to serve
what painful, expensive problem you own
how to package that into something people say yes to fast
Then we build a go-to-market motion around that and help you run it until it’s stable.
If you’re not willing to have those conversations, you won’t like working with me (and I won’t take the engagement).
What happens if we are a fit:
Step 1 is always the 3-week “Why Us” Sprint ($5K flat). We come out of that with your “Why choose us,” your ICP, the first version of your offer, and a 90-day GTM plan.
After that you either continue in an advisory/retainer format (to keep you focused and consistent) or bring me in fractionally for a few months to drive execution without hiring a $180K+ VP Marketing.
