What It’s Actually Like to Work Together
No mystery, no “trust the process.” Here’s exactly what happens when we work together: what we do in the first 3 weeks, what we’re doing in month 2–3, how often we meet, and how much of your team’s time this takes.
Step 1: The “Why Us” Sprint (3 weeks, $5K flat)
Goal: You stop sounding interchangeable.
What we do:
Get clear on who you’re built to serve (your real ICP, not “anyone with budget”)
Define the urgent, expensive problem you solve for them
Build the “Why choose us?” narrative you can say in under 20 seconds
Create core assets (homepage wireframe / offer page outline / outbound messaging / LinkedIn positioning)
Map your next 90 days of go-to-market activity: who you’re talking to, what you’re saying, where you’re saying it
Time from you:
Three working sessions on Zoom, ~90 minutes each, plus feedback on drafts.
Safety:
If you’re not confident after the first session that this will pay off, I refund you.
Step 2: Interim Fractional Leadership / Authority Accelerator (usually ~6 months)
Goal: You get senior growth/marketing leadership without hiring a $180K+ VP Marketing.
What we do:
I act as interim marketing/growth leadership
I help drive execution across content, outbound, positioning in proposals, partner development
We build the habits and rhythm so this keeps going after I step out
We make sure this growth motion belongs to the company, not just the founder’s hustle
Time from you:
Mostly higher-level alignment and unblock. Your team gets direction, not vague “go make noise.”
Exit plan:
This isn’t “forever fractional.” This is: stabilize → handoff → you own it. I don’t want to be on payroll 18 months from now. I want you predictable.
Step 3: Advisory / Growth Blueprint (monthly retainer)
Goal: You actually execute instead of drifting back to chaos.
What we do:
Weekly or biweekly working calls with you (and whoever’s touching marketing / sales)
Message review: I tighten your outbound, nurture emails, positioning statements, LinkedIn posts, outreach DMs, etc. in real time
Focus enforcement: we kill distractions and keep you aimed at the ICP and offer we just defined
Pipeline sanity: we look at deals in motion and tune the narrative so you win higher-fit, higher-margin work
Time from you:
60–90 minutes a week. This is not “homework and check back in 30 days.” This is collaboration while we’re on the call.
Why it matters:
Most agencies don’t fail because they “don’t know what to do.” They fail because they get busy and stop doing it for 3 weeks.
How fast do we see movement?
Usually in the first 30–60 days you feel three things:
You stop saying “uh… well… we can do a lot of things” on sales calls
You stop chasing trash-fit projects just because they’re waving money
You stop panicking every time the referral stream goes quiet
That’s the early win. After that, we build the volume and repeatability.
What your team won’t hate
This is important:
I am not coming in to create 19 content streams, launch 5 channels, and drown your devs in marketing tasks. That’s how most “CMO-for-hire” types lose the trust of the team.
What we do instead:
Focus on one ICP and one problem
Build one clear front-door offer
Publish only what supports that story
Build partner + outbound around that
Repeat it consistently
People can execute that without resenting you.
